Happy Birthday Babe!

Happy Birthday to my darling husband!  My kids and I are so richly blessed and lucky to have him in our lives!  Here is the easel card that I made for his birthday!

I used the square sketch from this week's Mojo Monday 201 Challenge to make the top part of my easel card.

This is a side view of the card standing up!

This is what the card looks like when it's closed.  Patterned papers are from October Afternoon's Schoolhouse collection, heart tag is from Making Memories.

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:

My kids wanted to make their own cards this year and they were so proud of their work that they insisted I post them to my blog....so here they are:

Soccer card made by my son who loves to play soccer and it happens to be one of my husband's favorite sport.

Fun card made by my daughter...this truly reflects her fun and happy personality!

Dino card made by my son...he was in a "let's play around with mommy's tools" mood, so he made a second card.

July Papertrey Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time over at PTI!  Here is the card that I created to play along with this month's challenge.  I have been using butterflies a lot lately and after my last card I told myself I wouldn't use them for a while.   Well, that was until this morning when I saw PTI's photo inspiration!  So here we go again...

I wanted to keep this card simple so I started out using Card Patterns Sketch 125 but it just wasn't turning out like I expected.  I had very little time to play around with it, so this is what I ended up with.  I also tried to use the colors from the 3 pillows on the right as well as the stripes from the middle pillow...and of course, the butterflies! :)

Here is the photo inspiration from PTI along with the sketch from Card Patterns Sketch 125:

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 4

WOW, week 4 of Summer Card Camp!  Here is the card that I made using this week's color combination.

I combined this week's color challenge with Mojo Monday 200 sketch challenge for this card.

Here is the color combo from Summer Card Camp:

Congrats Housewarming Card

This is a card that I made for a friend who just recently bought a new house.  Congrats on your new house Janice!

This card took me a while to finish...I walked by it several times during the course of a week before I could finally put it all together.  Not sure why, but that happens to me every now and then.

Fence and flowers are Jolee's stickers which I had for a long time and I insisted on finally using them.  House stamp is from Stampology and sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 3

Here is the card that I made for this week's Summer Card Camp.  A simple card to make using some of my favorite colors and of course I had to add some extra bling!  :)

Here is the color combination for this week:

Be the CHANGE...

Here is a CAS card that I made using the Summer Card Camp, Week 2 color combination.  This quote is one of my all time favorite quotes and I couldn't resist buying it when I first saw it.  I've had it for a long time and it sits on my desk but I've never used it.  As I was cleaning up from making my first card today, this stamp caught my attention and this was the result of my attempt to clean up!  :)

I used the same patterned paper from my first card for this week's color challenge.  Can you tell that I love this color combination?  :)

Here is another look at the color combo:

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 2

Here is my card for Summer Card Camp, Week 2.  I absolutely love this color combination, so vibrant and beautiful!

I combined this color combo along with this week's sketch from Mojo Monday, Sketch #198 for this card.  Here is the color combination for this week:

Get Well Card For My Uncle

This is a Get Well card that I made for my Uncle who just recently had surgery.  I combined this week's Cards Patterns and CAS-ual Fridays challenge for this card.

I used Mat Stack 4 die and stamp set from PTI.  Patterned paper is from Basic Grey, Wander paper pad.

Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 1

So week one has come and gone for the Summer Card Camp 2011 and I barely squeezed in some time to make my first card!  I couldn't resist this camp when so many of my favorite designers are also contributors to this camp.  Now I am just hoping that I will be able to keep up...

Here is this week's color combo:

And here is the card that I made:
Super simple card to make.  I used all the colors with the exception of orange.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set.

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining

Here is a card that I made for a very dear and super sweet friend of mine.  She is going through a rough time in her life so I wanted her to know that she is on our minds and in our thoughts and prayers daily.

I used Nikki Sivils, It's Raining It's Pouring collection.  I am so in love with this collection, I couldn't wait to use it.

Of course, I had to add glossy accents!  I added it to the water drops on the umbrella and to some of the rain drops for a "wet" effect! :)

I also added glossy accents to the water drops on the boots and the puddle that the cute little turtle is in!

Gift Card Set

This is a very simple card set that I made to go along with the Thank You card I made for my friend.  I wanted to keep this set simple and neutral.  Every now and then we just need a quick card for an occasion, so I thought these would come in handy for her.

Die cut is from PTI's fillable frame #3, cardstock and ribbon are also from PTI.  Sentiments are from various stamp sets.
